Chinese (traditional)- So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - All deeds are right in the sight of the doer,
but the Lord weighs the heart. - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - Before destruction one's heart is haughty,
but humility goes before honor. - The wise of heart will heed commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. - The heart is devious above all else;
it is perverse—
who can understand it?
I the Lord test the mind
and search the heart,
to give to all according to their ways,
according to the fruit of their doings. - May he grant you your heart's desire,
and fulfill all your plans. - For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is clear,
enlightening the eyes. - Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.
- Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. - You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
- From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.
- Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
- Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
- Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.
- My child, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - When I fed them, they were satisfied;
they were satisfied, and their heart was proud;
therefore they forgot me.
So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.” Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.Next verse!With image
