- My son, if thine heart be wise,
my heart shall rejoice, even mine. - A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
- Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God. - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings. - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
