Chinese (traditional)- Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth. - Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—
how much worse lying lips to a ruler! - Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. - Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”
- The tongue of the righteous is choice silver,
but the heart of the wicked is of little value. - All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
- “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
- Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips
and spreads slander is a fool. - I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips. - I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. - Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.
- In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears. - If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.
- And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
- They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
- For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
- I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
- You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in people who are trustworthy. - Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?’Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge. Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”Next verse!With image
