Bible Verses about 'Statutes'
- And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
- You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.
- And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day.
- Give me an eagerness for your laws
rather than a love for money! - But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.
- Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts. - If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field will produce their fruit.
- ‘I am the Lord your God,’ I told them. ‘Follow my decrees, pay attention to my regulations, and keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.’
- If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children. I am giving you these instructions so you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.
- Your laws are my treasure;
they are my heart’s delight. - I have rejoiced in your laws
as much as in riches. - If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.
- For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.
- I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed. I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
- The commandments of the Lord are right,
bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving insight for living. - The instructions of the Lord are perfect,
reviving the soul.
The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple. - A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
- The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever. - I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him? - Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.
- The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
- Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
- How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word. - A fool is quick-tempered,
but a wise person stays calm when insulted. - Avoid all perverse talk;
stay away from corrupt speech. - Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.
- Mark out a straight path for your feet;
stay on the safe path. - But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last. - As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”
- The very essence of your words is truth;
all your just regulations will stand forever. - The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
- The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born. - Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
- So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded.
- Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers. - So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
- But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.

And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold.
For I have stayed on God’s paths;
I have followed his ways and not turned aside. - Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
- Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me. - O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. - So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
- Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
- No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.
- Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
- Have mercy on me, O God,
because of your unfailing love.
Because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins.
Wash me clean from my guilt.
Purify me from my sin.
