- For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.

give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - Do not deceive yourselves. If you think that you are wise in this age, you should become fools so that you may become wise.
- For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, because a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions under the first covenant.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them.
- Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
- Seek good and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
just as you have said. - I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
- We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
- Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.
- This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
- From that time Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
- But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.
