- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
- Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight. - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord! - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. - And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
- So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
- But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- By insolence comes nothing but strife,
but with those who take advice is wisdom. - The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth. - Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased! - Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward.
- The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. - God settles the solitary in a home;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. - Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
- Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
- And a highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Way of Holiness;
the unclean shall not pass over it.
It shall belong to those who walk on the way;
even if they are fools, they shall not go astray. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein.
