Chinese (traditional)- Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
- The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. - As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
- My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me. - The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
- As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
- Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
- The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein. - Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
- Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
- Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
- Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men. - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all
such as are appointed to destruction. - Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
- But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
- If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
- For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.
- He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth. Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.Next verse! With image
