- But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
- Great peace have they which love thy law:
and nothing shall offend them. - For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
- Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,
and that seek him with the whole heart. - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
- Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
- And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
- The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind:
the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down:
the Lord loveth the righteous. - Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. - But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. - I am sought of them that asked not for me;
I am found of them that sought me not:
I said, Behold me, behold me,
unto a nation that was not called by my name. - Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. - Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. - Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
- And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life.
- Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Next verse!With image
