Those (4/4)

  • But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
  • Praise the Lord!
How joyful are those who fear the Lord
and delight in obeying his commands.
  • Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
    the one who gains understanding.
  • Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
  • Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
  • So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
  • So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help.
  • The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
    The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
  • Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
  • Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.
It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret.
  • Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
  • Oh, what joy for those
    whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!
  • For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.
  • For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.
  • Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
  • God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
    for they will see God.
  • Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.
  • But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.
  • No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.
  • Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means.
  • But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
  • Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.
  • In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.
  • The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity,
    but it destroys the wicked.
  • Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
    Praise him forever!
