- Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands! - Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom. - For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
- His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
- And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
- If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
- He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are this day.
- Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

the Lord is our king;
he will save us. - And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.

so far does he remove our transgressions from us. - As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.
- And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
- For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
- Save us, we pray, O Lord!
O Lord, we pray, give us success!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
We bless you from the house of the Lord. - Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
- For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
