Chinese (traditional)- Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues. - But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.
- You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
- That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
- My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness. - I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws. - But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
- But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside. - Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”. - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
- But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
- When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
- A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night. - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him.”
- When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
- When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.
- Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
- But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
- When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
As goods increase,
so do those who consume them.
And what benefit are they to the owners
except to feast their eyes on them?May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.Next verse!With image
