- Love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.
- Adulterers! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
- Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true.
- The God of peace will shortly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and light dwells with him. - He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. - You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance. Selah - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you.
- You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus.
- You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.
- But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved—.
- Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.
- Seek good and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
just as you have said. - But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.
- But I with the voice of thanksgiving
will sacrifice to you;
what I have vowed I will pay.
Deliverance belongs to the Lord! - Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
- For the customs of the peoples are false:
a tree from the forest is cut down,
and worked with an ax by the hands of an artisan;
people deck it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so that it cannot move.
Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field,
and they cannot speak;
they have to be carried,
for they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of them,
for they cannot do evil,
nor is it in them to do good. - Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
- I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
