- For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
- I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands. - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
- I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
- Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”
- After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
- Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

as I learn your righteous laws. - Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
- Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
- Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
- With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors,
but through knowledge the righteous escape. - The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
- Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
- You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. - And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
- He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him. - He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord—with the first of them
and with the last—I am he.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
