- Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
- Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
- Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!
- Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
- And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
- Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
- Seek good, not evil,
that you may live.
Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you,
just as you say he is. - Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
- For no word from God will ever fail.
- For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
- Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
- Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
- For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. - But I, with shouts of grateful praise,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’ - Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him. - Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
- Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker,
those who are nothing but potsherds
among the potsherds on the ground.
Does the clay say to the potter,
‘What are you making?’
Does your work say,
‘The potter has no hands’? - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. - Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
- You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
- Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
- Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
