Worry (2/4)

Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor, but the lips of a fool consume him.The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is of little worth. The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body. The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
He will render to each one according to his works.Who will render to every man according to his deeds.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
I have not departed from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food.Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith? He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
