than to put confidence in man. - Better is a little with righteousness

and a poor man is better than a liar. - Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. - He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. - How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! - Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
- Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not;

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)Next verse!With image
