- People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life,
but those who ignore correction will go astray. - Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

When can I go and stand before him? - But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.

- So go ahead. Eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, for God approves of this!
- For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
- Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
- That is why the Lord says,
“Turn to me now, while there is time.
Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” - But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.
