Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Understanding'
- Happy are those who find wisdom,
and those who get understanding. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - To get wisdom is to love oneself;
to keep understanding is to prosper. - A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing personal opinion. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple. - Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but one who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever. - Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.
- Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable. - Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - And ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one's neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever else you get, get insight. - And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- He said to them, “Then do you also fail to understand? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile,
since it enters, not the heart but the stomach, and goes out into the sewer?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) - Husbands, in the same way, show consideration for your wives in your life together, paying honor to the woman as the weaker sex, since they too are also heirs of the gracious gift of life—so that nothing may hinder your prayers.
- Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
be wise enough to desist. - So that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints.
- Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute
in the sight of God and of people. - This means understanding that the law is laid down not for the innocent but for the lawless and disobedient, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their father or mother, for murderers, fornicators, sodomites, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.
- House and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Even fools who keep silent are considered wise;
when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent.Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind. Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.Next verse!With image
