- ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
- Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.

- Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud;
then they forgot me. - Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
- Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
- May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.
- In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
- But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
- The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.
