- Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. - A patient man shows good sense,
but a quick-tempered man displays the height of folly. - Blessed is the person who has found wisdom,
the one who has gained understanding. - For much wisdom can result in much sorrow,
and those who increase their knowledge also increase their grief. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools are those who despise wisdom and instruction. - In much the same manner
will wisdom be sweet to your soul.
If you find it, you will have a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - I have instructed you in the ways of wisdom
and led you along the paths of righteousness. - Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!
- Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but he who mingles with fools will suffer harm. - Acquire wisdom and gain understanding;
never forget or turn aside from my words. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
those who are guided by it will grow in understanding.
His praise will last forever. - The words of a wise man win favor,
but a fool’s tongue is his undoing. - One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs.
- My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad. - I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love so that they may grow rich in their complete understanding as they come to the knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ.
- With his mouth the godless man seeks to ruin his neighbor,
but knowledge enables the righteous to be delivered. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
affording refreshment to the soul.
The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust,
imparting wisdom to the simple. - A fool gives free rein to his anger,
but a wise man bides his time and calms it. - The lips of a fool cause strife,
and his mouth provokes a flogging. - The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him. - A fool is quick to show his anger,
but a prudent man ignores an insult. - Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will persist in their evil ways.
- If you would seriously consider my reproof,
I would pour out my thoughts to you
and make my precepts known to you. - A fool spurns his father’s correction,
but whoever heeds admonition is prudent.
A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son gives grief to his mother.Brethren, you were called to freedom. However, make sure that you do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Instead, serve one another in love. Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,
and the greatest of these is love.Next verse!With image
