- Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. - A patient man shows good sense,
but a quick-tempered man displays the height of folly. - Blessed is the person who has found wisdom,
the one who has gained understanding. - For much wisdom can result in much sorrow,
and those who increase their knowledge also increase their grief. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools are those who despise wisdom and instruction. - In much the same manner
will wisdom be sweet to your soul.
If you find it, you will have a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - I have instructed you in the ways of wisdom
and led you along the paths of righteousness. - Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!

- With his mouth the godless man seeks to ruin his neighbor,
but knowledge enables the righteous to be delivered. - A fool gives free rein to his anger,
but a wise man bides his time and calms it. - The lips of a fool cause strife,
and his mouth provokes a flogging. - Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will persist in their evil ways.
- If you would seriously consider my reproof,
I would pour out my thoughts to you
and make my precepts known to you. - A fool is quick to show his anger,
but a prudent man ignores an insult. - A fool spurns his father’s correction,
but whoever heeds admonition is prudent. - The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him.
