if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. - A patient man shows good sense,

and led you along the paths of righteousness. - Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!

never forget or turn aside from my words. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
those who are guided by it will grow in understanding.
His praise will last forever. - The words of a wise man win favor,
but a fool’s tongue is his undoing. - I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love so that they may grow rich in their complete understanding as they come to the knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ.

but knowledge enables the righteous to be delivered. - A fool gives free rein to his anger,
but a wise man bides his time and calms it. - The lips of a fool cause strife,
and his mouth provokes a flogging. - A fool is quick to show his anger,
but a prudent man ignores an insult. - The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him. - If you would seriously consider my reproof,

and make my precepts known to you. - Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will persist in their evil ways.
