Chinese (traditional)This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. It was not by their sword that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand, your arm,
and the light of your face, for you loved them. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps. Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children. I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land. You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth. How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers. Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.Next verse!With image
