Chinese (traditional)For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Surely he has borne our infirmities
and carried our diseases;
yet we accounted him stricken,
struck down by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions,
crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the punishment that made us whole,
and by his bruises we are healed. Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. One who forgives an affront fosters friendship,
but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. We love because he first loved us. For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline. Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life and honor. Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. With the Lord on my side I do not fear.
What can mortals do to me? Seek good and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
just as you have said. Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed. He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God? For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all, training us to renounce impiety and worldly passions, and in the present age to live lives that are self-controlled, upright, and godly. So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!” Or can one walk on hot coals
without scorching the feet? Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal. So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. I will satisfy the weary,
and all who are faint I will replenish. Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens,
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Those who eat must not despise those who abstain, and those who abstain must not pass judgment on those who eat; for God has welcomed them. Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions. What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” Without counsel, plans go wrong,
but with many advisers they succeed. Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.Next verse!With image
