Chinese (traditional)Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:
bind them about thy neck;
write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
in the sight of God and man. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord. But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good:
and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? For thus saith the high and lofty One
that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths. As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Thus saith the Lord,
Stand ye in the ways, and see,
and ask for the old paths,
where is the good way, and walk therein,
and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah.
