Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. The Lord God is my strength,
and he will make my feet like hinds' feet,
and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.
