Chinese (traditional)Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” Ensure that the path you tread is level,
and then your ways will be sure. What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?” The future bodes well for him
who is generous in helping those in need
and who conducts his affairs with justice. Dear children,
keep away from idols. I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you. I will remove from your body a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in its place. It is better to have a little and fear the Lord
than to possess immense wealth and suffer anguish. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I will make them and the region surrounding my hill a blessing, and I will send them rain in due season that will be showers of blessing. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You place your trust in God.
Trust also in me. And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. A generous person will be enriched;
he who refreshes others will also be refreshed. If I give away everything to feed the poor
and hand over my body to be burned,
but do not have love,
I achieve nothing. Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it. The Lord God is my strength;
he makes my feet as swift as those of a deer
and enables me to tread on the heights. In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.” You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself. Do not swerve either to the right or to the left;
keep your foot far from evil. The one who provides seed for sowing and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. You received without payment; give in the same way. Hope deferred sickens the heart,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. Brethren, you were called to freedom. However, make sure that you do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Instead, serve one another in love. Therefore, when someone is guilty of any one of these things, he shall confess the sin he has committed. Banish grief from your heart
and ignore the sufferings of your body,
for youth and the prime of life are fleeting. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own. You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask. Then he said to them, “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.” The love of the Lord is never exhausted,
nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end.
They are renewed every morning;
his faithfulness never ceases.Next verse!With image
