Chinese (traditional)I love you, Lord;
you are my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.
The Lord loves the godly. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. Give justice to the poor and the orphan;
uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.” I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing. Tainted wealth has no lasting value,
but right living can save your life. Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple. So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline;
whoever learns from correction is wise. Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. You are my refuge and my shield;
your word is my source of hope. I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth. Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith:
Christ was revealed in a human body
and vindicated by the Spirit.
He was seen by angels
and announced to the nations.
He was believed in throughout the world
and taken to heaven in glory. People may be right in their own eyes,
but the Lord examines their heart. But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.” If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes. He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.
