Chinese (traditional)Let your kindness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. When my anxious thoughts multiplied,
your comfort filled my soul with joy. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help. Over all these put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and give you help,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged. For we are not struggling against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, the powers, and the cosmic rulers of this present darkness, and against the spirits of evil in the heavens. Where can I go to hide from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to the heavens, you are there;
if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” Anxiety in the human heart weighs it down,
but a kind word makes it glad. He said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain, for the Lord will not consider blameless those who take his name in vain. As a father has compassion for his children,
so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. Love one another with genuine affection. Esteem others more highly than yourself. Anyone who leads an honorable life walks in safety,
but whoever pursues wicked ways will be found out. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you. If anyone wishes to serve me,
he must follow me.
Where I am,
there also will my servant be.
If anyone serves me,
my Father will honor that person. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts:
he is the King of glory. Selah Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.” To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. “All things are lawful,” you may say—but not all things are beneficial. All things may be lawful—but not all things are constructive. I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Repent and live! It was not their own swords that won them the land,
nor did their own arms make them victorious;
rather, it was your right hand and your arm
and the light of your face,
because you loved them. And God is able to enrich you with an abundance of every grace, so that, with all of your needs provided for, you may be able to produce a surplus of good works. Continue in all of the ways that the Lord, your God, has commanded you. Continue in them so that you may live and prosper and that you may long dwell on the land of your inheritance. Speak out and pronounce righteous judgments;
defend the rights of the wretched and the poor. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will accomplish this. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything. Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows. Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,
and the greatest of these is love.Next verse!With image
