Chinese (traditional)But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. Who has done such mighty deeds,
summoning each new generation from the beginning of time?
It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last.
I alone am he. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. The wicked borrow and never repay,
but the godly are generous givers. Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing. Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” People may be right in their own eyes,
but the Lord examines their heart. This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. Our help is from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent. God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. But God is my helper.
The Lord keeps me alive! Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. I, yes I, am the one who comforts you.
So why are you afraid of mere humans,
who wither like the grass and disappear? Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful. If you return to him, he will not continue to turn his face from you. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher,
and he gives the farmer great wisdom. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens!
May your glory shine over all the earth. You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself. Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening.Next verse! With image
