Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:
bind them about thy neck;
write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
in the sight of God and man. Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
extol him that rideth upon the heavens
by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint. But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Since thou wast precious in my sight,
thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee,
and people for thy life. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. I have chosen the way of truth:
thy judgments have I laid before me. For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night sheweth knowledge. Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.Next verse!With image
