Chinese (traditional)For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! Therefore you are great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Guarding the paths of justice
and watching over the way of his saints. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.” Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that is needful for me. With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's. For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life. And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you. But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. The hand of the diligent will rule,
while the slothful will be put to forced labor. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy.
