Chinese (traditional)He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall never be shaken. Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you. Is not this the fast that I choose:
to loose the bonds of injustice,
to undo the thongs of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke? Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued. Above all, my beloved, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “Yes” be yes and your “No” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation. For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.” Happy are those who keep his decrees,
who seek him with their whole heart. You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you. And ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one's neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. To get wisdom is to love oneself;
to keep understanding is to prosper. Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing. And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.” Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly. Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one. O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever. In fulfillment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures. But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses,
but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.Next verse!With image
