Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Blessed is he
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. Who will render to every man according to his deeds. My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand:
forget not the humble. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.Next verse!With image
