Chinese (traditional)Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. I, I am he who comforts you;
who are you that you are afraid of man who dies,
of the son of man who is made like grass. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. Oh that they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever! From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Open your mouth, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy. But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” I can do all things through him who strengthens me. By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, there will be a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. The Lord watches over the sojourners;
he upholds the widow and the fatherless,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend.Next verse!With image
