- The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
- For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. - As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
- For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
- And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy. - Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil. - For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
- Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.
- Keep thy tongue from evil,
and thy lips from speaking guile. - And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
- Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
- Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
- Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
- Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
- Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
