- As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill? - You, Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures from generation to generation. - The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
- “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. - Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
