- Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord—with the first of them
and with the last—I am he. - You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
- The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.
- He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.” - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. - And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
- Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
- This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out! - Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
- Keep my commands and follow them. I am the Lord.
- As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
- You, Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures from generation to generation. - The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
- God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill? - These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse!With image
