- You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
- He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.” - Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
- This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
- Keep my commands and follow them. I am the Lord.
- Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out! - And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
- The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
- You, Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures from generation to generation. - Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. - These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
- God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill? - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
But I have been the Lord your God
ever since you came out of Egypt.
You shall acknowledge no God but me,
