- Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always. - One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
- For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,
whose plan is wonderful,
whose wisdom is magnificent. - Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
- You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
- And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
- Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.
