Jesus (4/8)

  • But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  • In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
  • I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
  • On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
  • He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
  • For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
  • Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.
  • Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!
  • And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
  • To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
  • Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
  • So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
  • But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
  • For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
  • The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
  • And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
  • Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
  • Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
  • But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.
  • For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
  • These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
  • I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.

And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
