- For us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are
and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are
and through whom we exist. - Whoever possesses the Son
possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life. - If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.
- For thus says the One who is high and exalted,
who lives eternally
and whose name is holy:
I dwell in a high and holy place
but I am with the contrite and the humble,
to revive the spirit of the humble
and to revive the heart of the contrite. - Listen, my son, and take my words to heart,
and the years of your life will be multiplied. - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
If you seek me, you will survive. - I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.

with an undivided heart. - The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,

no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. - You intended to do evil to me, but God decided to make it serve a good, to fulfill that which today has come true: to keep alive a numerous people.

Fear God and keep his commandments,
for that is the responsibility of everyone. - Through him all things came into existence,

That which came to be. - I am pulled in opposite directions. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better, but, it is a more urgent need for you that I remain in the body.

who walk in accord with the law of the Lord. - For the love of Christ urges us forward, once we conclude that one has died for all, and therefore all have died. - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us.

- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
- While physical training has some value, the benefits of godliness are unlimited, since it holds out promise not only for this life but also for the life to come.
- For we will become partners with Christ only if we maintain firmly until the end the confidence we originally had.
- Produce good fruit as proof of your repentance.
