- Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
- You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light. - But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.Next verse!With image
