Love (4/5)

  • And hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
  • One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.
  • My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline,
    neither be weary of his correction;
for whom Yahweh loves, he corrects,
even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
  • As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
  • But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
  • By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
  • He loves righteousness and justice.
The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.
  • Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
  • For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
  • For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • That their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
  • A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
  • Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
  • One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after:
that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life,
    to see Yahweh’s beauty,
and to inquire in his temple.
  • But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
  • I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
  • Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one. You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.
  • But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
  • Like a father has compassion on his children,
so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.
  • Make your face to shine on your servant.
Save me in your loving kindness.
  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
  • We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds.
  • Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh.
Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.

For the love of Christ compels us; because we judge thus: that one died for all, therefore all died. He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.

Bible verse of the day

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.Next verse! With image
