- The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. - He keepeth the paths of judgment,
and preserveth the way of his saints. - They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
- Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
- The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble. - He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
- For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
- The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth,
which have wrought his judgment;
seek righteousness, seek meekness:
it may be ye shall be hid
in the day of the Lord's anger. - Surely he shall not be moved for ever:
the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.Next verse!With image
