Bible Verses about Receiving

  • I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
  • Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
  • You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.
  • Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
  • And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
  • Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
  • If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
  • I lift my hands to you in prayer.
I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.
  • That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
  • Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
  • But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
  • Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
  • And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.
  • So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.
  • God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
    for they will be satisfied.
  • By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
  • But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.
  • I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
  • We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.
  • And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
  • But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.
  • Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life.
  • Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the tablets of stone on which I have inscribed the instructions and commands so you can teach the people.”
  • Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
