- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

But counselors of peace have joy. - How I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house.

But the companion of fools will be destroyed. - I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.
- Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
The heart of the wicked is worth little. - It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy,
And afterward to reconsider his vows. - He who heeds the word wisely will find good,
And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. - He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! - You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.
- Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
- Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. - And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.
- Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
- Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
- Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors. - For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
- But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- Arise, O Lord!
O God, lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the humble. - Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
- This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. - If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
- A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame. - Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
- Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
