Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - You shall not make gods of silver alongside me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.

but love covers all offenses. - Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
- For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
- And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. - Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today.
- Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.
- Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed. - My child, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
- This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
- Fools show their anger at once,
but the prudent ignore an insult. - Anxiety weighs down the human heart,
but a good word cheers it up. - Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.
