- And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
- I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

- Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee. - In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
- I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - But I will sacrifice unto thee
with the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay that that I have vowed.
Salvation is of the Lord. - Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
