- And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

- And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
- Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

- I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - But I will sacrifice unto thee
with the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay that that I have vowed.
Salvation is of the Lord. - But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
- Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he.
Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
