- I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.
- Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.
- The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
he humbles and he exalts. - God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
- Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever. - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
- But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
- Whoever pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity and honor. - For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
- Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
- They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
- Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. - Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
- Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
- If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
- So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
- Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.Next verse!With image
