- Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.
- When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be charged with any related duty. He shall be free at home one year, to be happy with the wife whom he has married.
- The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God.”
- Do not be deceived:
“Bad company ruins good morals.” - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - The scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.
- Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops.
- You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid.
- To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- For as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.
- Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.
- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.
- Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
- And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them as their God;
they will be his peoples,
and God himself will be with them;
he will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more;
mourning and crying and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away.” - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- I reprove and discipline those whom I love. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.
- Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body. - Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.
- Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!
