  • Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
    fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
    because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
  • For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
  • Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
    from him cometh my salvation.
  • And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.
  • My soul, wait thou only upon God;
    for my expectation is from him.
  • Hear my prayer, O Lord,
    and give ear unto my cry;
    hold not thy peace at my tears:
    for I am a stranger with thee,
    and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
