And that you break every yoke? - Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
- I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue. - Arise, O Lord!
O God, lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the humble. - Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith. - He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. - For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up. - A soft answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - When they had pasture, they were filled;
They were filled and their heart was exalted;
Therefore they forgot Me. - For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
- Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
- The vine has dried up,
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate tree,
The palm tree also,
And the apple tree—
All the trees of the field are withered;
Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men. - So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
- The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace. - To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
- Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. - Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
- Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.
- But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. - Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.
- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up. - And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
- Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
- Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.
- Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” - But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.
- When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. - But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. - And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
- Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
- And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
- Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave.
- A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones.
