Bible Verses about 'Burdens be lifted up'
- I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
- Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”

The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’

They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.
But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. - Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”
- What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.

Punish the wicked, O God!
Do not ignore the helpless! - The grapevines have dried up,
and the fig trees have withered.
The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees—
all the fruit trees—have dried up.
And the people’s joy has dried up with them. - He heals the brokenhearted
and bandages their wounds. - But when you had eaten and were satisfied,
you became proud and forgot me. - For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
- When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
- A gentle answer deflects anger,
but harsh words make tempers flare. - Wash yourselves and be clean!
Get your sins out of my sight.
Give up your evil ways. - When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
- “Listen,” he said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die. Then they will hand him over to the Romans to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”
- When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.
- So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
- Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
- Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
- I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth! - Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers!
- I cried out, “I am slipping!”
but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.
The Lord loves the godly. - Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
- Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.
- The Lord makes some poor and others rich;
he brings some down and lifts others up. - So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
- Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. - You light a lamp for me.
The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. - If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.
- But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.
- Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?
- Worry weighs a person down;
an encouraging word cheers a person up. - A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. - Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
how I praise you!
I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
